I joined Children of the American Revolution when I was a child. After I was married in 1951 I became a member of the Mary Tyler Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

My first line was Col. Isaac Preston of New Jersey and I have supplemental lines for James Dobbins, South Carolina; and Samuel Peden, South Carolina. I hope this year to fill out papers for some of my other ancestors.

Hoyt applied for membership in the SAR
in May 2002 .
with Maximillian Berryman, Virginia,
as his Patriot.
His papers went through in a record eight weeks.
Hoyt was the first person to prove him a Patriot.
