Record Book - 1837-45 Franklin Co TN Page 366 This day the Clerk of this Court presented to Court A Settlement which he had made with Lunsford L. Matthews and John Morris Administrators of the Estate of John Frame deceased and the same being Examined by the Court was received by the Court and was ordered to be recorded --------------------------- This day a paper writing purporting to be a deed of Conveyance from James Morris Deceased to John Morris was presented in Open Court for probate, and thereupon came John G. Brazelton and James robinson who being duly sworn in Open Court the truth to Speak touching said deed of Conveyance depose and say that they are qcfquainted with the hand writing of the said James Morris, deceased and that they believe the signature affixed to said deed of Conveyance is the hand writing of the said James Morris Deceased. Mrs. Morris widow of the said James Morris also appeared in Open Cour and says that she is acquainted with the hand writing of James Morris and that she believes the signature Purporting to be James Morrises affixed to said deed of Conveyance and that she saw him sign the same is genuine.
