He married Abigail Davis 15 Apr 1719 in Concord, Middlesex Co., MA.⁽³⁰⁶⁾ Abigail was born 27 Jan 1698/99 in Concord, Middlesex Co., MA.⁽³⁰⁷⁾ Horace Davis gives Abigail's birth date as 27 Jan 1698. Abigail⁽³⁰⁸⁾ was the daughter of Samuel Davis and Abigail Reade.

Abigail died circa 1752 at age unknown.⁽³⁰⁹⁾

Robert Chaffin and Abigail Davis had the following children:

3 ii. Mary Chaffin⁽³¹⁰⁾ was born in Littleton, Middlesex Co., MA 7 Dec 1721.

6 v. Abigail Chaffin⁽³¹²⁾ was born in Littleton, Middlesex Co., MA 3 Feb 1727. Abigail died 13 Mar 1729 in Littleton, Middlesex Co., MA, at age 2.

7 vi. Francis CHAFFIN⁽³¹³⁾ was born in Littleton, Middlesex Co., MA 25 Jan 1730. Francis died 28 Jan 1778 in Valley Forge, PA, at age 48. He married Rebecca Cummings 20 Apr 1756 in Acton, Middlesex Co., MA.⁽³¹⁴⁾

8 vii. Samuel Chaffin⁽³¹⁵⁾ was born in Littleton, Middlesex Co., MA 3 May 1732. Samuel died 20 Nov 1811 at age 79.

9 viii. Timothy Chaffin⁽³¹⁶⁾ was born in Littleton, Middlesex Co., MA 7 Mar 1734. Timothy died 25 Jul 1838 at age 104.

10 ix. Phebe Chaffin⁽³¹⁷⁾ was born in Littleton, Middlesex Co., MA 4 Mar 1737.
