He married Amanda Alice Chaffin 4 Oct 1855 Van Buren, Hancock Co., OH.⁽¹¹⁾ Amanda was born 15 Oct 1833 in Wayne Co., OH.⁽¹²⁾ Amanda⁽¹³⁾ was the daughter of Gladwin Chaffin, M.D. and Diadamia Elgin Pancoast. Amanda died 1917 Seymour, Wayne Co., IA, at age 83.⁽¹⁴⁾

Sampson Howell Albertson and Amanda Alice Chaffin had the following children:
