He married Rhoda Chaffin abt 1816.⁽⁸⁸⁵⁾ Rhoda was born 12 Dec 1796 in Acton, Middlesex Co., MA.⁽⁸⁸⁶⁾ Rhoda was the daughter of Simon Chaffin and Mercy Sanderson.

He was ordained a minister abt 1830.⁽⁸⁸⁷⁾

David Day and Rhoda Chaffin had the following children:

2 i. Levi² Day was born abt 1818.⁽⁸⁸⁸⁾ Levi died abt 1838 at age unknown.⁽⁸⁸⁹⁾ Levi was preparing for the ministry, but was caught in a blizzard and perished. ⁽⁸⁹⁰⁾

3 ii. Simon Day was born abt 1820.⁽⁸⁹¹⁾
