He married Emma M. Alderson 18 Feb 1892 in Virden, Macoupin County, Illinois.⁽⁶⁰³⁾ Emma was born 20 Mar 1874.

Harvey H. Chaffin and Emma M. Alderson had the following children:

110 i. Lelah⁷ Chaffin was born 26 Apr 1893. Lelah died 16 Jun 1911 at age 18. She married Hershell H. Haynes 10 May 1911. Hershell was born about 1890.

111 ii. Fay Chaffin was born 11 Sep 1894.

112 iii. Pearl Chaffin was born 19 Mar 1897.

113 iv. Ina Chaffin was born 23 Jun 1899.
