He married Sarah (mnu) Bemis bef 15 Jan 1643. Birth of first child is recorded "Sarah the daughter of Jofeph & Sarah Bemis borne 15 (11)[1642]⁽¹⁷⁹⁾

Sarah died about 1712 at age unknown.

Joseph Bemis and Sarah (mnu) Bemis had the following children:

2 i. Rebecca² Bemis was born in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA, MA 17 APR 1654. She married twice. She married John White 11 Apr 1684 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA, MA.⁽¹⁸⁰⁾ John died 30 May 1684 at age unknown. She married Thomas Harrington 1 Apr 1686 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA, MA.⁽¹⁸¹⁾ Thomas was born 20 Apr 1665 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA, MA. Thomas was the son of Robert Harrington and Susannah George. Thomas died 29 Mar 1712 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA, MA, at age 46.⁽¹⁸²⁾ (See Thomas Harrington for the continuation of this line.)
