He married Friedrike (mnu) Bleil bef 28 Apr 1837 in Germany.(215) Friedrike was born 14 Nov 1807 in Bessighine, Wurtenburg, Stutgart, Germany.(216) Friedrike died 14 Sep 1882 in Liverpool Township, Medina Co., OH, at age 74.(217) The Harz-Mountain region of mid-Germany (called the "Heart of Germany") falls on the border between modern-day East and West Germany. Around 1830, three brothers Bleil (original spelling, possibly Blul), came to the area. They lived in the woods of the mountains in their own built log cabins and poached (hunted wild game). In those days, it was all Crown land belonging to the Kingdom and hunting wasn't allowed. The Bleil brothers were continuously warned and were eventually hunted down by the Duke's game wardens and guards. A shoot-out ensued, where Julius was shot down. Johann (our John?) escaped and was never heard of again. Emil settled down in Germany, married and had three sons.(218) John M. Bleil owned a farm in Marion County, Ohio(219).
