1. Joseph¹ DRAKE was born in Amsterdam 8 Jan 1801.⁽⁹⁰⁴⁾ There is disagreement in family records regarding the birthplace of Joseph Drake. One source claims he was born in Amsterdam, Holland and another states he was born in Marion, OH. Joseph died 19 Aug 1850 in Marion, Marion Co., OH, at age 49.

He married Dortha (Dorothy) Albertson abt 1821 in Marion, Marion Co., OH. Dortha was born 13 Aug 1804 in Marion, Marion Co., OH. Dortha died 19 May 1883 in Marion, Marion Co., OH, at age 78.

Joseph DRAKE and Dortha (Dorothy) Albertson had the following children:

7 vi. Nicolas Drake was born 5 Dec 1833.⁽⁹¹⁰⁾

8 vii. Elam R. Drake was born 26 Feb 1836.⁽⁹¹¹⁾

9 viii. Adaline Drake was born 3 Jul 1838.⁽⁹¹²⁾

10 ix. Charity Ann Drake was born 7 Feb 1844.⁽⁹¹³⁾ Charity died 30 Apr 1911 in Clinton, Henry Co., MO, at age 67.⁽⁹¹⁴⁾ Her body was interred aft 30 Apr 1911 in Clinton, Henry Co., MO. She married Frederick William Bleil abt 1859. Frederick was born 20 Apr 1837. Frederick was the son of John M. Bleil and Friedrike (mnu) Bleil. Frederick died 16 Mar 1896 in Henry Co., MO, at age 59.
