John Bates and Mrs. (mnu) Bates had the following child:

2 i. Sarah (Sally)² Bates was born circa 1777. Sarah died aft 1850 at age unknown. She married Moses Bradshaw, Sr. 15 Mar 1798 in Franklin Co., VA.⁽¹⁶⁷⁾ Moses was born 1775 in VA. Moses was the son of Mr. Bradshaw and Susannah Hutchinson. Moses died ca 3 Jan 1859 in Putnam Co, MO, at age 83. State of Missouri County of Putnam;

Moses Bradshaw says that to the best of his knowledge and belief the names of the heirs of Moses Bradshaw Sr., deceased, and their places of residence are respectively as follows, William Kidwell, Nandy Kidwell, Sarah Kidwell, and if there are any others of the above names they are unknown to me. Heirs of Delila Kidwell, formerly Delila Bradshaw of Fayette County, in the state of Virginia, Daniel Bradshaw who resides in Boone County state of Virginia, Susannah Sizemore and Delila Bradshaw, Elizabeth Bradshaw and Joseph Bracshaw of Adair County, and John W. Bradshaw of Green County, and Christana Ward of Putnam, in the state of Missouri, and heirs of William Bradshaw deceased, Jane Clayton who resides in Green County State of Missouri, and Elizabeth McGee formerly Elizabeth Bradshaw who resides in Edgar County in the state of Illinois, and Moses Bradshaw and Isaac Bradshaw who reside in putnam County state of Missouri, that the said Moses Bradshaw Sr. died without a will and he will make a perfect inventory of, and faithfully administer all the estate of the deceased, and pay debts as far as the assets will extend and the law directs. and account for and pay all assets which shall come to his knowledge.
