5. Mordecai² Lincoln (Samuel¹) was born 14 Jun 1657. Mordecai died 28 Nov 1728 at age 71.

He married twice. He married Sarah Jones prob 1685 probably in Hull, MA.⁽¹³⁶⁹⁾ Sarah was the daughter of Abraham Jones and Sarah Whitman. Sarah died before 8 Jan 1717 at age unknown. He married Mary (Hobart) Chapin 17 Feb 1701-2.⁽¹³⁷⁰⁾ Mary was born 12 Jan 1664. Mary was the daughter of Caleb Hobart and Mary Eliot. Mary died 19 Apr 1743 at age 79.

Mordecai Lincoln and Mary (Hobart) Chapin had the following children:

26 i. Jacob³ Lincoln. He was baptized 23 May 1708.⁽¹³⁷¹⁾

27 ii. Elizabeth Lincoln was born 1703. Elizabeth died 14 Sep 1724 at age 21.

Mordecai Lincoln and Sarah Jones had the following children:

+ 28 iii. Mordecai Lincoln was born 24 Apr 1686.

29 iv. Abraham Lincoln was born 13 Jan 1689.⁽¹³⁷²⁾

30 v. Sarah Lincoln was born 29 Jul 1694. Sarah died 7 Jul 1754 at age 59. She married Daniel Tower abt Mar 1715-16 in Hingham, MA.⁽¹³⁷³⁾ Daniel was born 1692. Daniel was the son of Ibrook Tower and Margaret Harden. Daniel died 21 Feb 1774 at age 81. (See Daniel Tower for the continuation of this line.)
