Mary was born 29 Sep 1844 in Clark Co., MO. Mary was the daughter of Joachim Henry LaFrenz and Martha Mangels.

3 ii. Mathilda Emma Whitlock was born Farmington, IA 28 Jan 1866. Mathilda died 1 Aug 1948 in Arlington, NE, at age 82. She married Henry Ludwig Walter Reckmeyer 19 Apr 1894 Farmington, IA. 4 iii. Lydia Minnie Whitlock was born Farmington, IA 29 Sep 1867. Lydia died 6 Sep 1901 in Arlington, NE, at age 33. She married Henry Dorbecker Sep 1886. Henry was born 10 Oct 1862 in Muscatine, IA. Henry died 27 Feb 1944 in Arlington, NE, at age 81.

5 iv. Josephine Whitlock was born Farmington, IA 18 Nov 1869. Josephine died 27 Nov 1869 Farmington, IA, at age unknown.

+ 6 v. William Edward Whitlock was born 8 Oct 1873.
