Internet Resources
For convenience, I put all my Internet
resource links in one place. They are grouped under the main headings.
I will add to these as I find new resources.

 | Venango
County Has extensive information about Venango County and the
resources available there. Sheila Barr Helser is the coordinator for
this Web site. |
 |
Stonesearcher
Ancestral Research I personally recommend Joyce Neidich, a Genealogical
Researcher for Venango County. She knows where all the secrets are
hidden in Venango County, Pennsylvania. |

 | Genealogical
Lists I recommend joining a genealogy list for the county in which your
ancestors lived. People are willing to share the information they have
and you may meet up with a cousin. |
 | MapQuest
Internet site. This site helps you find towns all over the
world. Once you find the town, you can print out a map. I
used this site to print a detailed map of how to get to Täbingen, Germany. |
 | Social
Security Death Index Search over 60 million names in the Social Security
Death Index at Ancestry.com, the most up-to-date SSDI on the internet. They
update their records monthly and make it searchable — all FREE. You
can get a membership that allows you to search all of Ancestry.com's
databases. |
 |
RootsWeb.com can supply you with the information that you are looking
for in a manner that you can use quickly and easily. Many genealogy sources
are available on RootwWeb itself. And then there are pointers to hundreds of
other genealogy sources on the Internet. |
 | Eastman's
Online Genealogy Newsletter has the latest information about what is going
on in the genealogy world; reviews of new genealogy related software and
services; and instructions on how to find information. |

 | Taebingen,
Schwarzwald, Germany - This is my ancestor's home town. Thanks to this
Web site, Michael Goehring from Taebingen sent me an email telling me about
the town's Web sites. They are in German. |

This handy online translator will give you a rough idea of the context
of a German sentence. Just copy the German words (up to 150) and paste
them into the text box. Select the language you want to translate from
and to. Click the Translate button. You can also translate a whole
page by typing in the Web address. |
 | Baden
Württemberg, Germany The people on this genealogical list are very
helpful. I learned many valuable tips that helped me during my
trip to Germany. This is an excellent resource. |
