| On the left is Ronald Cowan; on the right is his brother Alton Cowan from Norfolk, Virginia. They are true Cowands, but the "d" got dropped by their father and grandfather. Their father was John Poe Cowan(d) and their grandfather was John Thomas Cowand. In the middle is Ed McClelland whose son David is a Cowand--his grandfather being Jesse Cowand from Norfolk. |
