This series of letters were in the possession of my grandmother (Charlotte [Yancey] Boice) when she died. She probably got them from her mother (Mary Ashby [Gibbons] Yancey), who in turn probably got them from her mother (Frances Virginia [Kemper] Gibbons). You get the idea...

Isaac Gibbons (3/13/1757-12/22/1826), son of Abel Gibbons & 1st wife (name unknown), married 12/28/1782 in Bethlehem, PA, to Mary Gangwer (11/14/1760-10/27/1851), daughter of J. George Gangwer & Magdalena Gleifer. Mary Gangwer Gibbons is buried in the Gibbons Cemetery near Luray, Page County, VA, along with several of her grandchildren (children of Samuel Gibbons and Christina Miller, who once lived at "Willow Grove"). Children of Isaac Gibbons and Mary Gangwer include:
