Edward Bernum Root was born 20 April 1845 in
Queensbury, NY,
the second of six children of David and Cordelia Root.
He married Amanda "Minnie" Worden of Coxsackie, NY on 8 September
1869.
They had three daughters: Emma Edna, Minnie, and Anna.
Amanda died 19 May 1918 in Ulster, NY. Edward died 10 November 1918,
in Kingston, NY.
They are buried in Woodside Cemetery, Dumont,
NJ.
