In 1402-1422 he was also Mayor of Leicester. On 26 Jul 1452, Catherine, daughter of John Church of Leicester, left land to celebrate divine service daily for the souls of John Church, senior, and Catherine, his wife, and John Church, junior, and Agnes, his wife, and Catherine, their daughter, and Catherine, daughter of John Church, senior. The land at Leicester was conveyed by John to Catherine [presumably his wife] by deed of May 8, 1450.
