  Myrtle, May 29. -- Mrs. W.W. Holly
is passing a few days with her daugh-
ter, Miss Sadie, at Sugar Grove, Pa.
  Garner Worden had business in
Shingle House Saturday.
  Supervisor Terette of Myrtle has
been rounding up the roads in his
district the past week.
  Bart Holly is having his house paint-
ed.
  Comrade Albert Clark and James
Grow were in Portville on business yes-
terday.
  Earl Danforth returned home Satur-
day from West Branch where he has 
been working the past few months.
  R.W. Reed of Port Allegany Sunday-
ed in this place.
  Monroe Young of Mt. Morriss, N.Y.,
was a Sunday guest at the home of A.
A. Worden.
  R. Dennis of Eldred was a guest of
his daughter, Mrs. D.F. Hastings,
Sunday.
  Those parties who are using explos-
ives for fishing purposes had better
look a little out or they may get into
trouble.
  A donation will be held at the home
of Isaac Potter this (Thursday) even-
ing for the benefit of Rev. J.A. Gard-
ner.
  Mr. Will Rockefeller of Sharon Cen-
tre and Miss Hazel Maxson of this 
place were united in marriage at Port-
ville a week ago yesterday. The writer
joins with their many friends in best
wishes.
