Ceres Mail, Wednesday, August 14, 1901 LITTLE GENESEE --- LITTLE GENESEE, Aug 13. -- Hor- ace G. Prindle is in Friendship on business today. Fourteen cheese a day is what our factory is now making. Mrs. John Hiscock of Westerly, R. I., arrived in town this morning and is a guest of her father, B.O. Coon. Harrison De Groff is now manager of our base ball team. He has made arrangements to go to Bellrun and play next Sunday. The rig on Floyd Kenyon's farm has been moved two locations this way and another well will be put down. Mr. Fulmer and wife of Fulmer Val- ley are guests at the home of Will Clark and wife. Mrs. Charles Bullard and children of New Brunswick, N.J., are passing a few days at the home of A.J. Hall. It cost one of our business men just 22 cents last month for the lights in his store and a hot plate in his house. There are 124 men and about 30 teams at work on the new grade for the Shawmut Line between here and Ceres. Surveyor Ezra Bedford and son, Charles, of Portville are surveying for the trolley line between this place and Bolivar. Charles Young and family returned Saturday from a visit in Buffalo, and also a visit to his old home in Bird- all, N.Y. Link Jacques had charge of the section crew during his absence. The Sabbath School will hold their annual picnic in Case's grove tomor- row. All of our people think that a dau at picnicing is a day well spent. A feature on tomorrow's program is a matched ball game between the married and single men.
