Oswayo Valley Mail, Thursday June 2, 1949 Pretty Church Wedding Here on Saturday Morning Miss Gertrude Catherine Franz of Shinglehouse, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton J. Franz, Sr., became the bride of Thomas Adam Traska, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Traska of Canonsburg, Pa., on Saturday morning, Mat 28. The ceremony was performed at nine o'clock at St. Theresa's Church by the Rev. John P. Kennedy, pastor of St. Anthony's Church, Custer City. The church was deco- rated with bouquets of mixed gar- den flowers. During the Mass selections were sung by Sandra Manago, Dorothy Terpak, Margaret Terpak, Vianne Vinia, Mary Emma Benedict, Mar- garet Difango, Jeanne Langaniere, and Joan Schiappa, members of the Junior Choir of Mother of Perpetual Help Church of Lewis Run. Anne M. Carlan of Bradford was organist. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Anton J. Franz, Jr. Her floor length gown was of white nylon with lace inserts and she wore lace mitts. Her full length veil was attached to a tiara trimmed with forget-me-nnots. She carried a white prayer book topped with streamers and corsage of white roses. Mrs. Esther Mesler of Shingle- house was matron of honor for her sister. She wor a floor length gown of yellow moire taffeta with bustle back. A matching tiara and veil completed her outfit. She carried an arm bouquet of yellow roses and mixed flowers. Martin Mesler, brother-in-law of the bride, acted as best man. Ushers were Jerald Voorhees and Ambrose Senger. Following the ceremony a wed- ding breakfast was server at the Auxiliary dining hall. A reception fo 75 gueats was held at the home of Mrs. Mesler. The bride's table was centered with a tiered wedding cke. Other tables were decorated with candles and garden flowers. The couple will reside in Shingle- house. Mrs. Traska is a graduate of Shinglehouse High School and has been employed at the Freeborn Confectionery for the past eight years. Mr. Traska attended Canons- burg School and spent four years in the US Army. He is employed by the Quaker State Oil Company at Farmers Valley. C. Trushel, Mrs. Edward Ebeling and Mrs. Albert Clark; pantry shower, Mrs. Cecil Bump and Mrs. Paul Bryant and dinner at the Cogswell, Mrs. Frank Free- born. Attending from out of town were Mrs. Arthur Penoyer, Jack Penoyer, Ann Penoyer and Mrs. and Mrs. James Riordan of Olean; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Monroe of Belmont; Mr. and Mrs. J. A.
