  Del Wingard of Myrtle had business
in Ceres Monday.

  The Wellsville fair and races will be
held Aug. 19 to 23.

  Mrs. J.B. Almy and daughters re-
turned from a visit with relatives at
Honeoye Saturday.

  The Olean races were pulled off be-
tween showers last week. They only
had one really good day.

  Fifty little debts of a dollar each will
cause a man more trouble than one big
one of a thousand dollars.

  Rev. Knapp of Millport is being as-
sisted in his revival work by Miss
Florence Heath and mother of Corry,
Pa.

  The oat harvest is now on, and if
the farmers don't hurry up the grass-
hoppers will get the biggest part of the
crop.

  Mrs. Laura Holly and son, Earle,
arrived home from Bays, O., Wednes-
day evening. Mrs. Holly's health is
not much improved.

  Friday afternoon two scrub teams
played a short game of base ball in
Ceres. The score, which was kept on a
pine stick, was lost.

A.R. Bass of Morgantown, Ind. had
to get up ten or twelve time in the night
and had severe backache and pains in
