Mr., Mrs. Charles Rosenswie Married for Fifty Years

  Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rosenswie of Honeoye street in Shinglehouse, were honored at a family dinner on Wednesday night in honor of their fiftieth wedding anniversary.

  Twenty-five members of their family attended a dinner at the Shinglehouse Masonic building, with members of the Order of Eastern Star serving the dinner. A three-tiered wedding cake topped with a fifty-year golden emblem centered the table.

  During the dinner the guests were entertained by Miss Annalee Rosenswie who sang "I Love You Truly" and "Silver Threads Among the Gold," accompanied by Loretta Foote at the piano.

  Following the dinner open house was held at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Keith Foote, Shinglehouse. The house was decorated with flowers sent from their friends.

  The buffet table was centered with a decorative piece representing a bride and groom having walked down the part of life.

  Mr. and Mrs. Rosenswie have four children, Clinton Rosenswie, Mrs. Foote and Mrs. Clyde Wiseman, all of Shinglehouse and Mrs. Frank J. Hadley of Olean and ten grandchildren.

  Married in Greensburg, Pa. on August 15, 1901, Mr. and Mrs. Rosenswie have lived in Shinglehouse since 1902. Mr. Rosenswie is a former window glass blower, having worked at the Palmer Window Glass factory.

  Guests were present from Florida, Wellsville, Greensburg, Toronto, Ohio, Corning, Eldred, Uniontown, Pa., Belmont, Bolivar and Olean.
