Notes:
Interview with Freddie Crump, April 26, 2000

Samuel Harper, William's father, lived near Alexandria, Rapides Parish, Louisiana. William H. Harper had four older sisters that lived in Claiborne Parish. "He'd stay a year down there (Rapides Parish), then go back up to Claiborne Parish and stay a while. Through the years he went back and forth. He never accumulated much money because he loved to come up here to visit with his sisters and kinfolks, but he loved to be back down there with his mama and daddy and the rest of the kids." Probably went back and forth 20 times.
