HUSBAND NOTES: Malone Farmer Aug 29, 1900 SKERRY Mr. Isaac Parker, of Whippleville, is visiting his daughter, Mrs. Libbie Davis. --------------------------- Malone Farmer November 23, 1927 CHASM FALLS Nov 21 - The many friends of Isaac Parker, who has been for many years a resident of Whippleville, will hear with real sorrow of his death which occurred on Sunday at his home, after six days of illness with broncho-pheumonia. He was a quiet, peaseable man, honest and industrious, and althrough he had reached the age of 78 years, his friends did not look for him to leave us for some years yet. He was born in Malone in 1849, and all of his life was spent in this town. The Parker family is one of the oldest in this town. Isaac Parker lived in the town of Poultney, Vt., where his son, Isaac was born June 16, 1791. In 1806, the family settled in Malone, N.Y. where the father died in 1813, and his widow went to Jamestown, N.Y. where she lived to the advanced age of ninety. The son, Isaac Parker, married January 1, 1818, Sarah E. Culver, daughter of Philo Culver. Mr. Culver's father was private secretary to Gen. Geo. Washington during the Revolutionary war. One of the sons of Isaac and Sarah Parker, was Emerson Parker who married Mary Spencer, daughter of Charles Spencer of Bangor, N.Y., who ran away from his home at the age of sisteen, to join the American army and wa a drummer boy all throught the war of 1812-1815. And Emerson was the father of the subject of this sketch. Isaac Parker, son of Emerson was born in Malone in 1849. He married for his fiest wife, Harriet, daughter of Willard King. To them were born three children; Lewis, who has a family in malone; Metta was the first wife of Edward A. Earle. She died leaving one daughter, Alice, who is in business in Montreal; Elizabeth is now a Mrs. Palmer, and resides in Syracuse. The subject of this sketch was a devout Christian and member of the Baptist church, as were nearly all the Parkers of this line. The writer has been privileged to know Mr. Parker from their boyhood days and has only good works to say of him. Besides his first wife, he leaves another, to whom goes out the sympathy of many friends. A brother, Charles Parker, of Saranac Lake, and a sister, Dr. Alice Lyman of Malone, also survive him. ---------------------------------------- Morningside Cemetery Malone, Franklin Co, NY PARKER Isaac PARKER Died June 5, 1866 Aged 75 Y'rs.
