HUSBAND NOTES: History of Henry County IL 1877 SMITH WM. J. Veterinary Surgeon, Geneseo; born in Jefferson Co. Tenn. May 31, 1820; moved to Joliet, Ill. in 1835, and to this county in 1866; Rep; Meth; studied and practiced Veterinary Surgery in Joliet about twelve years; in 1848 joined R.R.Conference of the M.E. Church; was in active work eighteen years; in 1866 took a superannuated relation and settled in Galva; removed to Kansas in 1871; returned to this town in 1875; married Miss Lydia Harrington at Joliet, Ill.
