Mrs. Southworth was an aunt of Mrs. M. H. Cunningham, North Bangor, Mrs. Cahrles Wilson, North Bangor, Bessie Kerry, Bangor, Mrs. O. H. Cook, Malone; Cyrus Baker, Malone. The following obituary sketch is reprinted from the Gothenburg Times: Lucina Wilson was born in East Dickinson, New York in the year of 1844, on the 22nd day of July. She was one in a family of nine children, four girls and five boys. All have preceded her in death. She spent her early life near Malone, N.Y. Lucina Wilson cherished the Christian faith and sought to live her life after that high standard. On May 29, 1869, in Malone, NY, Lucina Wilson married Carlyle Wylie. To this union four children were born, one son and three daughters. In August 1877, Mr. Wylie passed away. In the year of 1879 she was united in marriage to Lincoln A. Southworth and to this union one daughter was born. In March 1888, they came to Kearney, Nebr., later moving to Custer County, where they resided several years. Mrs. Lucina Southworth has been a resident of Gothenburg since 1901, making her home with her daughter, Mrs. William Berger. She united with the Presbyterian Church in the year 1905, and was a faithful worker for her church and a friend to all who know her. She had been in failing health for sometime and on May 30th, peacefully passed away. She leaves to mourn her loss, two daughter, Mrs. William Berger and Mrs. Sadie Lewis, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of Gothenburg; and two nieces and two nephews in Malone, N.Y. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the William Berger home, conducted by Rev. Arthur Soundy, of Minden, and Rev William Kilburn, and interment was made in Gothenburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were: H. L. Williams, Geo Back, G. G. Hampien, H. C. Brestel, J. C. Holmes, and Walter Dale.
