Brown, aged 84, a native of Brushton, died at 2:15 Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Hunter in Cherry street. He had been ill about three weeks. Mr Brown was born the town of Moira, Oct 18, 1832, son of Comer and Cinderella Brown. He married Addie L. Aldrich Oct 18, 1872. She died March 8, 1832. Mr. Brown resided in Winthrop several years, coming to Potsdam about 10 years ago. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Alex Richard of Alburg, N.Y., Mrs. Paul Scherf of Philadelphia, Pa, Mrs. Henry Hunter of this village, Mrs. James Rossley of New Bremen, N.Y., and Mrs. Alma Amo of Brasher Falls; by two sons, Hollis Brown of Glens Falls and Claude Brown of Potsdam; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Edward Peck of Reedley, Calif. Funeral services were held at the residence of Henry Hunter Tuesday afternoon at 2, and interment will be made at Winthrop in the spring; the body being placed in the vault at Bayside cemetery. --------------------------------- Malone Farmer Feb 28, 1934 Moira Resident Passes From Life at Potsdam Alonzo W. Brown, at one time a resident of Brushton, passed away Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Hunter, in Potsdam after an illness of three weeks. He was 84 years of age. The deceased was born in the town of Moira, October 18, 1872, a son of Cormer and Cinderella Brown. He was married to Addie L. Aldrich, October 18, 1872. Mrs. Brown passed away March 13th, 1932. Mr. Brown resided at Winthrop for several years, coming to Potsdam about ten years ago. He is survived by seven children,, Mrs. Alex Richard of Alburg, N.Y., Mrs. Paul Scharf of Philadelphia, Pa, Hollis Brown of Glens Falls, N.Y., Claude Brown and Mrs. Henry Hunter, Potsdam, Mrs. James Rossley of New Bremen, N.Y., and Mrs. Alma Amo of Brasher Falls. There are ten grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Edward Peck of Reedley, Calif., also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the residence of Henry Hunter, 20 Cherry street, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was in Bayside cemetery, to be followed by burial at Winthrop later in the spring.
