I am looking for descendants of and more information about Lewis Sarles who was born between 1810 and 1820 in East Canada. He shows up in the 1850 census for Alburgh Vermont. His wife was Mary Mott. They had the following children: Julia (1842), Edward (1844), Homer (1846), Anne Eliza (1848), Ira (1850), Jud (or Judd or Jed) (1851), Mary (1852), Hiram (1855), Job (1856), Harrington (1858), Augusta M.(1859), Frederick (after 1860) and Wesley (1865). Some of the children changed to the spelling "Searles." I believe Lewis to be my great, great grandfather. Jud married Ernestine D. Honnsinger. Homer is my great grandfather and changed his name to Wise at some point (probably when he enlisted in the Army during the Civil War). Harold Wise. My E-Mail address is HOVIMA@cs.com.
