HUSBAND NOTES: Malone Farmer July 30, 1924 East Constable Death of Giles J. Wilson On Monday evening, July 21st, occurred the death of Giles Wilson, Sr., one of the oldest residents of this section. Mr. Wilson had been in fair health until about a week before his death when he suffered a paralytic stroke and never regained full use of his faculties, although he was a able for awhile to recognize members of his family and to make known his wants to them. He was about 88 years of age, and was born in Fort Covington, but spent most of his life in this vicinity. Mr. Wilson was twice married, his first wife having passed away nearly forty years ago. Six children were born of this union, three of whom are still living. Giles Jr. and Mrs. Harriet Davis, of Constable, and Seth of Whittensville, Mass. In 1891 Mr. Wilson married Katie Rogers, of Westville, who survives him, together with three of the six children born to them: Howard, of Utica, and Pearl and Leola of this place. Two sisters, Eliza and Mrs. M. Costello and two brothers,, Seth and Charles, all of Ft. Covington, also survive. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday afternoon, at the Westville Corners Presbyterian church, Rev Gardner, of Fort Covington who was an old friend of Mr. Wilson, officiated. Interment was in the family burial plot at Fort Covington Center. Henry Griffith, Fred Brockway, Martin and Edw. Rogers acted as pallbearers. A very large attendance was at the funeral. Mr. Wilson was known to mostly everyone in this and adjoining towns, and was liked and respected by all. Utmost sympathy is extended to his sorrowing relatives. Wilson of Westville, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 25, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Everest Glazier of Malone. Due to a heart condition she had not enjoyed good health for some time, and a few days previous to her death she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. The deceased was born in Westville, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Rogers. Her husband predeceased her several years ago. She was a member of St. Bridget's Church, Trout River. A good neighbor and kind friend, she will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Glazier of Malone; Mrs. Pearl Cunningham of Springfield, Mass, and one son, Howard Wilson of Utica. Mr. Giles Wilson of Westville is a step-son. She also leaves one sister and several brothers.
