SKULL IS FRACTURED

Farmer Receives Fatal Blow from Windlass Sweep

Muskegon, Mich., April 17, His skull fractured by the terrific impact of a windlass sweep while he was pulling stumps on his farm in Sullivan township yesterday, Edmond Clary, a prominent farmer, died late last night. He was aged forty-eight years. He was unconscious from the time of his injury until his death and details as to exactly how the accident occurred are missing. He leaves a widow and two sons.

Paper: Grand Rapids Press, 1912-04-17

-------------------------

Edmond's Death certificate confirms the newspaper account, cause of death listed as "Fracture of Face & Skull, accident, struck by a stump pulling machine, chin broke." His parents are listed as Cornelius & Mary "Strickland" Clary, Mary born in "Illinos", father born "unknown", he was married 22 years and the father of two children. The date of birth is listed the same as date of death, an obvious mistake. William Clary was the informant.
