MOTT George S. Mott, the postmaster of Telluride, became a resident of San Miguel county in 1890 and of Colorado in 1884, and since that time has been diligent and serviceable in helping to build up and develop this portion of the county. He was born in the state of New York in 1857, and is the son of D. D. and Elmira (Sylvester) Mott, of that state. At the same time he conducted on of the leading groceries of the section, continuing his operations in the line until 1898, when he was appointed postmaster.
