Mott, Arley C., pianist and teacher of Santa Paula, Cal., is a graduate of the Los Angeles conservatory; later studied with Thilo Becker (L.A.), Sidney L. Wrightson, and S. M. Fabian of Washington, D. C.; joined faculty of Washington D. C. College of Music. Specializes in accompanying, as work with David Bisham, Genevra Johnstone Bishop, Ellen Beach Yaw and the Washington symphony orchestra, under De Koven testifies. Is organist at Santa Paula Presbyterian church. Miss Mott also is a vocalist, mezzo soprano, and frequently appears in concert. Was first California girl to sing over long distance wire, as in July, 1916, she sang in Santa Paula to an audience of 4,000 at Malone, NY, near Montreal, Can. Her studio is at 113 Mill Street, Santa Paula.
