Credentials for Stephen H Wright
July 15th, 1865

The State of Tennessee Smith County

This is to all it may concern that in the above mention we whose names are
undersigned being called on by the Baptist Church of Christ of Brush Creek
to
- - into the call and qualification of Brother Stephen H Wright to the
ministry of the Gospel did in the person of the said Church proceed first
to
the conversion and call for the said Office as Aaron to the priestly office
and in this he gave full satisfaction. Second that he believes in the faith
of the Predestination Baptist as stated in the articles of faith by the
Round
Lick association and acknowledged the order thereof and that a dedication
from the Faith an order here proposed should render this article null and
void and that the Church no longer accountable for his election or
practice,
where upon we elect most sollemny (sic) after fasting by prair (sic) and
imposition of hands set apart  Stephen H Wright to the ministry of God's
Word
and administer the Ordinances agreeable to the tenor of the New Testament,
with the consent and approbation of all the Church and may the Lord be with
