for want of a Moderator.

May Term 1851.  after divine servis (sic) the
church set in conferance (sic), gave an
invitation for the reception of members,
none came forward. an application was mad (sic)
for aleter (sic) for sister Nancey a black
woman. some objections made by
Brother John Rodgers and sister Martha
Hall The church then agreed to lay the
case over until the clerk wrote her aleter (sic)
notifing (sic) her of the objections so
no other business came forward then

church set in conference, gave an  invitat.
for the reception of  members, none came

Case of Frances a black man, Charlet (sic) Hepley

Faney a black women, Judah a black women,
Jobe a black man, Wilson Coats, Marey
Turner, Marey Brigs, Joseph Garison,
Bartlett Stokes and excommunicated them
for none atendence (sic) then aplication (sic) made for
a leter(sic) for Brother James a black man, it was
granted him with the privaledg (sic) of exersising (sic)
his gift in publick (sic) no other business

 March Term 1852  after preaching the
church set in conferance (sic) gave an invitation
for the  recept. of members, none came forward,
then take up the case of sister Rachel
a black women and excluded her for
joyning (sic)  the Mishenarys (sic), then took up
the case of sister Cristy and excluded
her for practising (sic) afraud(sic)on the church
for which she was living in adultry at
the time she joynd (sic) the church and that
the church new(sic) nothing a bout (sic) at
the time she joind (sic). then took up the
case of Brother John Hooker for moving
off with out aleter (sic) or regular dismiss
ion from the church, his case was laid
over until Brother Sion Bass cood (sic) rite (sic)
him aleter (sic) to inform him of the situation of his case,
then took up the case of sister Nancey
a black woman and referd (sic) it until
next meting (sic), the church then appoin
ted a comitee (sic) gow (sic) and see Brother
Daniel Smith and sister Smith to
now (sic) the reason they doo (sic) not at tend (sic)
the meting (sic). so no other Business came
forward then dismist (sic) in order.

April Term 1852. after devine servis (sic)
the church set in conferance (sic)  gave an
in votation (sic) for the recept. of members,
none came forward, refrence (sic) cald (sic) for
the case of sister Nancey a Black
woman taken up from the charges against
her by Brother Rodgers and sister Rodgers
in promising them she would clear her
self fo (sic) to the satisfaction of them

 before she left the country and fail
to try to do so the church say she
cannot gave (sic) her aleter (sic) and excluded her
her for the same Brother Bass cald (sic) on Whether
he had an ancer (sic) from Brother Hooker, he said
he had neglected to wright. (sic) the comitee (sic)
that was sent to see Brother Smith and sister
Smith reported and discharg’d. the church
then proceds (sic) to choose 2 deacons, hey (sic) choose
J. Dedman and J. A. Smart and agreed to call
call Brother Butler and Brother Kelly to
heir (sic) next meeting of apresbatry (sic) to the ordination
of deacons. no other business came forward,
so dismist (sic) in order.

May Term 1852.  after devine servis (sic) the
church sit in conferance (sic), gave an invitation
for the reception of members, none came
forward, the presbatry (sic) then proced (sic)
to the ordination of deacons.
Brother J. Wiliam (sic) Pig
cald (sic) for a leter (sic) for him self (sic) and sister
Pig they war (sic) granted them. so no other
business brawght (sic) forward, so dismist (sic)

N3 Brother Daniel Smith charged the church with
rong (sic) judgement in her decision of the doctrine contained
in the denton letter Examined in April 1849
and if defined that & the Articles of her fait (sic) was the same.
the church moved that, he Smith, at our next conference
make that appear.

June Term 1852  after devine service the church sit in
conference, opened a door for the reception of Members. Ann (sic)
none.  Brother Daniel Smith came forward & said he was ready
to make it appear that the denton letter was the same with
the Articles of faith of that Church.
the articles then read.  3rd  D. Smith then read the letter

and then proceded (sic) and instead taking the two
instruments and show the likeness, he commenced
asking the brethren questions such as these
Do you not believe God chose his people
in Christ before the world began and after saying
a good deel (sic) pro and con motiond by J. Dedmon
seconded by A. J. Smart to know if the church
believed she was right in April 1852
and her vote was unanomous (sic) in support of the same
and being no futher business Dismi (sic) in order
