1945:
A Dedication Service of the ground for the Church Social Hall was held
Sunday, April 15, 1945, but completion of the building was delayed as materials
were scarce due to World War II. All work except the foundation was done
by friends and members of the church. A committee composed of women of
the church provided the funds as work progressed. Those taking part in
the service were: Rev. Howard Shoemaker, Pastor; Delbert Comer, Trustee;
Howard W. DuBree, Chairman of the Official Board; Mrs. Edward B. Campbell,
