Attention Baker Descendants!Your help is needed to honor/mark the final resting place of Richard and Abigail (Beverly) Baker in the Jim Baker Cemetery on Bold Camp, outside of Pound, Wise County, Virginia. Richard and Abigail were pioneer settlers of this area and are the progenitors of many of the Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky Baker family. Their children married into other pioneer families leaving thousands of descendants. Nancy Clark Brown has started a campaign to erect a monument to this couple and their children. Please email Nancy Clark Brown if you have any corrections or additions to this information or if you would like to make a donation to this project. By working together, we can help honor the memory of this family and insure that future generations will be able to find their final resting place. Thanks for your support!
