G.W. Wadsworth Dies Friday At Mountain Peak
George W. Wadsworth, 82, resident of the Mountain Peak community for the past 50 years, died late Friday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, from the Methodist Church of Venus, with Rev. Clayton Lewis, Fort Worth, and Rev. R.A. Brooks, Venus, officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain Peak Cemetery; funeral arrangements are by Saxon-Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home of this city.
Mr. Wadsworth was a retired farmer, born near Birmingham, was a member of the Methodist Church at Mountain Peak.
He is survived by six sons Grady L. Wadsworth, Sardis; L.W. Wadsworth, Long Branch; Lloyd [sic] Wadsworth, Midlothian; N.C. Wadsworth, Venus; W.E. Wadsworth, Dallas; O.E. Wadsworth, Venus; two daughters Mrs. Lola Roberson, Venus, and Mrs. Roy Countryman, Midlothian. Twenty-one grandchildren also survive.
Remains will lie in state at the family residence until the service hour.
