1. Charles Milton1 Pickard, son of John Pickard and Rachel Ann Windham, was born Warren, Bradley, Co. Arkansas September 17, 1858. Charles died February 19, 1943 Reed, Greer County OK, at 84 years of age.

He married twice. He married Minnie Higgins unknown. He married Margaret Lee Bussell Waxahachie, Ellis County Texas, December 28, 1882. Margaret was born Indian Mound, Stewart County TN February 9, 1864. Margaret was the daughter of Santford Bussell and Myra Carolina Sherrill. Margaret died February 7, 1913 Reed, Greer County OK, at 48 years of age. At 19 years of age Margaret became the mother of Abbie Isabelle Pickard Avalon, Ellis Co, TX, October 2, 1883. At 23 years of age Margaret became the mother of Shannon "Boss" Pickard Avalon, Ellis Co. Texas, March 9, 1887. At 24 years of age Margaret became the mother of Faye Pickard Mt. Peak, Ellis, TX, January 8, 1889. At 28 years of age Margaret became the mother of Myra Pickard Mt Peak TX, March 23, 1892. At 29 years of age Margaret became the mother of Basil Pickard Avalon, Ellis Co., TX, May 18, 1893. At 31 years of age Margaret became the mother of Jesse Pickard Mt. Peak, Ellis Co. Texas, August 28, 1895. At 39 years of age Margaret became the mother of Willis Pickard Reed, Greer, OK, March 10, 1903. When Margaret and Charles left to move to Reed, In Greer Co., OK in 1901, George Patton, Charles' sister Susan's husband, help them load their belongings into a railroad car. "This was the last time I saw Maggie", from a hand written note from cousin Belle Patton - a poignant ending of their friendship.

At 25 years of age Charles became the father of Abbie Isabelle Pickard Avalon, Ellis Co, TX, October 2, 1883. At 28 years of age Charles became the father of Shannon "Boss" Pickard Avalon, Ellis Co. Texas, March 9, 1887. At 30 years of age Charles became the father of Faye Pickard Mt. Peak, Ellis, TX, January 8, 1889. At 33 years of age Charles became the father of Myra Pickard Mt Peak TX, March 23, 1892. At 34 years of age Charles became the father of Basil Pickard Avalon, Ellis Co., TX, May 18, 1893. At 36 years of age Charles became the father of Jesse Pickard Mt. Peak, Ellis Co. Texas, August 28, 1895. At 44 years of age Charles became the father of Willis Pickard Reed, Greer, OK, March 10, 1903.

Charles Milton Pickard and Margaret Lee Bussell had the following children:

8 vii. Abbie Isabelle Pickard was born Avalon, Ellis Co, TX October 2, 1883. Abbie died June 4, 1887 Mt. Peak, TX, at 3 years of age.
9 viii. Shannon "Boss" Pickard was born Avalon, Ellis Co. Texas March 9, 1887. He married Annie Knight. Annie was born 1891.
10 ix. Faye Pickard was born Mt. Peak, Ellis, TX January 8, 1889. She married Van Boone. He was born 1885.
+ 11 x. Myra Pickard was born March 23, 1892.
12 xi. Basil Pickard was born Avalon, Ellis Co., TX May 18, 1893. Basil died ABT 1899 Mt. Peak, TX.
13 xii. Jesse Pickard was born Mt. Peak, Ellis Co. Texas August 28, 1895. He married Ogla Marie Herre. Ogla was born 1899.
14 xiii. Willis Pickard was born Reed, Greer, OK March 10, 1903.

Second Generation


7. Charles Brevard "Jack"2 Pickard (Charles Milton1) birth date unknown.

He married Lela Davis. Lela was born 1889.

Charles Brevard "Jack" Pickard and Lela Davis had the following children:

11. Myra2 Pickard (Charles Milton1) was born Mt Peak TX March 23, 1892. Myra died July 14, 1927 Magum, Greer Co, OK, at 35 years of age.

She married William Hardison Barnes September 8, 1907. William was born Waxahachie, Ellis County TX May 1 1882. William was the son of John Benson Barnes and Anne Elsie Bynum. William died January 6, 1953 Houston TX, at 70 years of age. At 31 years of age William became the father of Lloyd Elbert Barnes White Flatt Greer County OK, July 28, 1913. At 32 years of age William became the father of Maggie Lee Juanita Barnes White Flat, Greer Co OK, January 31, 1915. At 35 years of age William became the father of Raymond Hardison Barnes December 6, 1917. At 37 years of age William became the father of Linden Barnes Mangum OK, 1919. At 38 years of age William became the father of Rondall Barnes Mangum OK, August 6, 1920. At 42 years of age William became the father of Elna Fay Barnes Mangum OK, November 26, 1924.

At 21 years of age Myra became the mother of Lloyd Elbert Barnes White Flatt Greer County OK, July 28, 1913. At 22 years of age Myra became the mother of Maggie Lee Juanita Barnes White Flat, Greer Co OK, January 31, 1915. At 25 years of age Myra became the mother of Raymond Hardison Barnes December 6, 1917. At 27 years of age Myra became the mother of Linden Barnes Mangum OK, 1919. At 28 years of age Myra became the mother of Rondall Barnes Mangum OK, August 6, 1920. At 32 years of age Myra became the mother of Elna Fay Barnes Mangum OK, November 26, 1924.

Myra Pickard and William Hardison Barnes had the following children:

21 v. Linden Barnes was born Mangum OK 1919. Linden died August 24, 1919 Mangum OK, at less than one year of age.
22 vi. Rondall Barnes was born Mangum OK August 6, 1920. Rondall died July 15, 1932 Mangum OK, at 11 years of age.
23 vii. Elna Fay Barnes was born Mangum OK November 26, 1924. Elna died November 26, 1924 at less than one year of age.

Third Generation


17. Milton Benson3 Barnes (Myra2 Pickard, Charles Milton1) birth date unknown. Milton died October 20, 1988.

He married twice. He married Lucile Pat Hunter Boles unknown. He married Lorena Whitley September 24, 1933. Lorena died December 1986. Lorena became the mother of Jimmy Barnes December 20, 1946.

Milton became the father of Jimmy Barnes December 20, 1946.

Milton Benson Barnes and Lorena Whitley had the following child:

18. Lloyd Elbert3 Barnes (Myra2 Pickard, Charles Milton1) was born White Flatt Greer County OK July 28, 1913. Lloyd died December 1, 1992 Safford AZ, at 79 years of age. His body was interred Resthaven, Safford AZ.

He married Ruth Bradberry Lordsburg New Mexico, October 9, 1938. Ruth is the daughter of Lonza Bradberry and Edith Brakefield. Ruth became the mother of William Lloyd Barnes Lordsburg NM, August 26, 1939. Ruth became the mother of Ronald Alton Barnes Lordsburg, New Mexico, September 29, 1943. Ruth became the mother of David Blaine Barnes Silver City NM, December 22, 1951. Ruth became the mother of Lisa Louise Barnes Silver City NM, May 10, 1955. Ruth became the mother of Lora Lee Barnes Safford AZ, November 6, 1959.

Lloyd was divorced from Juanita Law 1931. At 26 years of age Lloyd became the father of William Lloyd Barnes Lordsburg NM, August 26, 1939. At 30 years of age Lloyd became the father of Ronald Alton Barnes Lordsburg, New Mexico, September 29, 1943. At 38 years of age Lloyd became the father of David Blaine Barnes Silver City NM, December 22, 1951. At 41 years of age Lloyd became the father of Lisa Louise Barnes Silver City NM, May 10, 1955. At 46 years of age Lloyd became the father of Lora Lee Barnes Safford AZ, November 6, 1959.

19. Maggie Lee Juanita3 Barnes (Myra2 Pickard, Charles Milton1) was born White Flat, Greer Co OK January 31, 1915.

She married Travis Earl Pitts,(Sr.) Mountain View OK, May 23, 1934. Travis was born Milledgeville TN December 4, 1910. Travis was the son of John Wilson Pitts and Ella Nora Evans. Travis died November 23, 1980 at 69 years of age. At 27 years of age Travis became the father of Travis Earl Pitts,(Jr.) Carnegie OK, September 30, 1938. At 38 years of age Travis became the father of Vicki Ardeth Pitts Sanger, California, May 10, 1949.

At 23 years of age Maggie became the mother of Travis Earl Pitts,(Jr.) Carnegie OK, September 30, 1938. At 34 years of age Maggie became the mother of Vicki Ardeth Pitts Sanger, California, May 10, 1949.

Maggie Lee Juanita Barnes and Travis Earl Pitts,(Sr.) had the following children:

+ 30 i. Travis Earl4 Pitts,(Jr.) was born September 30, 1938.
+ 31 ii. Vicki Ardeth Pitts was born May 10, 1949.
