Hi all,
For any of you interested in the Winslow family, I found a great new
URL. I has a branch of the Winslow family going back 31 generations, to
1065. Also ties in a lot of other families: Bundy, Newby, Mendenhall,
etc. I printed out all 31 generations for future use. For many of you
Winslow descendants this could be a major breakthrough. Let us all know
how you fared.

Winslow family. (Remember that we are officially Bundy/Winslow.)

If everybody but me has already seen this, then please excuse me. I found
this today by accident in the Old Rappahannock Co VA Deed Books, listing what
must be Kenelm Winslow of Boston in Virginia. I have never known this. I am
learning to work my new scanner, and I apologize for the mixed up look.
There is more of this stuff, and I will send it if anybody wants it.

NEW ENGLAND Marriner by these presents do appoint in my place and stead my
well beloved Friend KENELlNE WINSLOW of BOSTON aforesaid my true & lawfull
attorney for me to ask receive all such debts unto me due from any person in
Virga. in my name and stead to appear before any Court in aforesaid Virga. in
America in my defence to answer whatsoever Suits shall at any time dureing my
absence be implead in reference to my person or Creditt or Estate by any
person granting my said lawfull Attorney my whole power in the premises as
well for Debts as to sue arrest implead and cause to be condemned to agree &
upon receipt to discharge with power to constitute one or more Attorneys under
him and finally all things about the premises necessary to be done as fully as

the Bill specified to that purpose by KENLAM WINSLOWE do acknowledge by these
presents to have sould all my right of parcell of land being Ninety acres it
being the moiety of l83 acres that I said JOHN AIRES now live on the said
bargain. and Sale being by these presents to be made good unto KENLAM WINSLOW
and his heirs and also to JOHN HINKSMAN and his heirs or to either of them
with all profitts and commodites that belong with all tobacco houses or
dwelling houses upon the said land say the half part thereof according to the
true and real intent here specified that is the half part of all the land that
the said JOHN AYRES now lives on and half of all the houseing that is now
built on the said JOHN AYRES his land or that shall be built God willing this
next year To hold the said land to him the said KENELINE & joyntly or
severally from me the said JOHN AYRES forever & not only from me my heirs but
also from the Dower or thirds of my Wife JOANE heirs & further I bind me my
heirs to always make good the said sale with warrantie to KENELINE WINSLOWE &
JOHN HINKSMAN and their heirs from molestation in Witness I have sett my hand
& seale this 27th February 1662 in presence of FRANCIS DOUGHTY, JOHN AYRES
ALLEX. FLEMlNG I JOANE AYRES the now true and lawfull Wife of JOHN AYRES of
Rappa. in Virga. in Sittenbourne Parish do acknowledge freely that I now give
my pure and free consent to what Land my said Love mg Husband JOHN AYRES hath
sould unto Mr. KENELINE WINSLOW or Mr. JOHN HINKSMAN I say all my right as my
Dower or thirds and at all times revokeing all my interest thereunto and
moreover I desire Mr. AU£X. FL£MING to be my Attorney to acknowledge the same
in my behalf in the County Court of Rappa. In Witness I sett my hand and seal
this 23 February 1662

It is conditioned and agreed by JOHN AYR£S and KENELINE WINSLOW in case of the
decease of either of them or their other partner Mr. JOHN HINKSMAN that the
land now (OLD) RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY DEED BOOK 1656-1664 PART II -19-
held in mateship withall the houseing that shall be on the said land shall be
by the Sur-vivour rendred the full revertion thereof to their next of Kin or
whoever they shall will or appoint to give itto 1 say the land held by Deed
bearing date the 27th of February 1662 notwithstanding any Law or Custom or
usage to the contrary. In Witness we have sett our hands and seals this 2~Lh

liberty of lining up the columns. But be sure to examine the names of the
spouses carefully. I have found a number of them that I am intereted in.

Hello Bruce and Winslow-Bundy Group,
I have been printing out every Winslow-Bundy-Doudna post with great
expectations of having the opportunity to incorporate many gems into my
database, then offering feedback for others to compare "theirs" against
"mine". Unfortunately, my silence means the data has not yet been
assimilated. So, somwhat belatedly, I will contribute what I can.
Here are a list of Winslow marriages I gleaned from a CD that was put online
last year at the Family Treemaker website or
FAMILY TREE MAKER (Home Page) .
I "rented" access to the information at that time, so I do not have the disk
and can provide no information from it other than what I copied off last year.
I may be able to post a similar document on Bundy and Doudna marriages as well.
Once again I want to thank all who have generously contributed to my own
growing database, either directly or indirectly. But rather than wait until I
can get more pieces of my own family puzzles put together to share, here is
something "surname specific" that I hope you will find useful.
