2255. Elizabeth Easter Ann
VAUGHT was born on May 17 1857 in Caddo Gap, Arkansas. She died Bet.
1942-1943 in Texarkana, Arkansas?. This information contributed by Shelia Bachelder
9-10-1999.
Information found in the Latter Day Saints files located in the Library of the
same church in Austin, MN. Date: June 25, 1999, 2 mentions by me pertaining
to corrections. They have the spelling of Harbison (knowing that my grandfather;
David/one of James's sons; was "1" of 2 children who decided to change
the spelling of their name " from Harberson - to - Harbison," long
before grampa himself had children. 2nd mention: My Great Grandmothers first
& middle name, along with 2nd middle name has never been listed as such.
But then, our listing has several different possibilities which still need to
be followed up on. Ihave had Anna, Elizabeth, Mary, along with Anna Elizabeth,
Elizabeth Ann, Mary Ann Elizabeth & mary Elizabeth Ann all been told to me
as possible 1st names for her. The LDS Library had it filed with 3 different
people "I'm inclined to believe them" as Elizabeth Easter Ann Vaught!
From this point on, it will be as it is in the Library files of the church for
her 1st name...."Elizabeth Easter Ann Vaught" unless otherwise found
out on more concrete proof of evidence! Another story told to me by the family
(my mother Lillie Belle Harbison) states that Elizabeth was disowned by her family
due to her marriage to James Harberson. An illiterate, uneducated, disgusting
Hillbilly! "Quote/unquote!" His lack of education was very embarrassing
to Great Great Grampa Silas. (At that time an Arkansas Judge of the courts!)
It was just unacceptable to him (Grampa Silas) at that time to have an illiterate
individual in his family. Hence, his not acknowledging Elizabeth's marriage
to James along with subsequently disowning her from his immediate family!
She was married to James Hamilton HARBISON on Jul 1 1879 in "Guessing"
Caddo Gap, Montgomery County, Arkansas. James Hamilton
