91. Annie E. VAUGHT was born on May 17 1871 in Dogwood Neck Township, Horry County, South Carolina. She died on Jun 16 1956 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was buried in Washington Memory Gardens, Homewood, Cook Co., Illinois.

Annie E. Vaught was b on May 17, 1871 in Dogwood Neck Township, Horry Co., South Carolina. Her parents were Peter Vaught II and Louise W. Cukon.

Although on the 1880 census and on son Garland's Death Certificate, she was named Annie, she was Anna on other documents and to most people.

Annie married Robert Needham Roach (probably without her fathers blessing) before 1896. While living in Atlanta, Logan Co., Illinois, they had 3 children.

They moved to Harvey, Cook Co., Illinois and built a new house in 1900. One reason for them moving to Harvey was that at that time, no taverns were to be allowed in Harvey. Her husband, Robert Needham, died in the new house in 1900. She was left with a house, but no money and had to take in washing to support her children.

Before 1907, Annie married Mr. Davis who already had a son, Albert, b 1902. They had a daughter, Wilma Evelyn, b July 13, 1907. Sometime after that, but before 1910, Annie and Mr. Davis separated (divorced?) and Mr. Davis went to Michigan with his son, Albert. Annie's son Garland Vaught, had to quit school in the 8th grade to become the family breadwinner, working in a factory for 10 cents an hour.

Annie was a dedicated member of the Free Methodist Church in Harvey, Illinois.

Annie continued to live in the Harvey house with Garland and his wife Grace until becoming ill in 1955 and going to live with her daughter, Wilma, in Wauwatosa, Milwaukee Co., Wisconsin. Annie died in Milwaukee, at age 86, of heart failure on June 16, 1956. She is buried in Washington Memory Gardens, Homewood, Cook Co., Illinois.

She was married to DAVIS before 1907. Annie E. VAUGHT and DAVIS had the following children:

She was married to Robert Needham ROACH before 1896. Robert Needham ROACH died about 1900. Annie E. VAUGHT and Robert Needham ROACH had the following children:

200 i. Vera ROACH was born on Sep 29 1896 in Atlanta, Logan Co., Illinois. She died on Jun 17 1961.

202 iii. Marion ROACH was born in 1900 in Atlanta, Logan Co., Illinois. She died on Mar 21 1927.
