SECOND GENERATION

2. Solomon VAUGHT was born in 1782. He died on Apr 19 1860. Solomon was an active member of the Providence Methodist Church, which he was instrumental in establishing. He and his wife are buried in the old church cemetery, but there are no markers to their graves. An old paper clipping of his death is as follows:

"Departing this life at Dogwood Neck, upper All-Saints Parish, S.C., April 19, 1860, Mr. Soloman Vaught in the 78th year of his age. Mr. Vaught had been a consistant member of the Methodist Episcopal Church for more than forty years. He left a widow, three children, a number of grandchildren and a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn his death. We trust that their loss is His gain. He was a very affectionate husband, a kind father and neighbor."

Angeline HUGHES was born in 1799. Solomon VAUGHT and Angeline HUGHES had the following children:
