Thanks for the McMillan info you sent me. All I am after at this stage is to find out what happened to Lillias Ellen McMillan born 8.9.1878 in Hokitika. She has just disappeared, no marriage, no death for her.

I have just concentrated on my branch of George Sandiland McMillan and was just doing marriage partners and death dates of George Sandilands brothers & sisters.

But I can clarify some dates you have on page 10 of your printout

Jessie Winifred b. 4.6.1905 m. Louise Robertson 1928 died 25.11.1935 Christchurch

George Ford b. 19.9.1906 m. Ella Minehan 1935 died 1968 Christchurch

Robert Harper b. 21.4.1909 m. Edith Wall 26.7.1933 died 1.11.1988 Christchurch

Mavis Rose b. 29.7.1910 m. Hugh Cuttance 1934 died 1970 Christchurch

Jack Gordon b. 23.12.1912 m. Bertha Thiele 27.12.1938 died 1.6.1963 Greymouth

Arthur James b. 5.9.1916 m. Jessie Davidson 21.11.1942 died 6.3.1998 Hokitika

They were all born in Hokitika except Arthur who was born in Ross

George & Rose McMillan are both buried at Hari Hari

Also a correction for page 14 regarding Arthur McMillan & Jessie Davidsons children

Robin married Brian Keogan

Marion married Arthur Routhan

Robert married Pamela Bishop

I am interested as to where you fit into the McMillan family. I am married to Gordon McMillan, son of Jack Gordon & Bertha McMillan. You have obviously had contact with someone in George Sandilands family to know the details you have. The reason I am saying that is because you have two of Gordons siblings down as the names they were known as, not their birth names.
