Jackson

This line begins with Truman Jackson who was killed in the Explosion of the Steamer "Sultana" on April 27, 1865. He was a Corporal with Company G 95th Ohio Infantry

He was born in Clark Co. Ohio around 1822

Married Lucy Pine May 27th, 1846 in Champaign Co Ohio. After his death Lucy remarried. When I receive Truman Military and Pension records it included a copy of a marriage certificate with Lucy having married James Wilder in 1865 (I am not sure about this marriage). I have come across information that list her as marrying John G. Rexer who died in 1887. In the Wills Abstracts of Champaign Co Ohio she is listed as Lucy Rexer which also list her heirs which matches with the information for her children as does information in the Pension Records of Truman Jackson

According to the Census records of 1860 for Champaign Co Ohio the following children were listed for Truman and Lucy. Mary J, Julia, Winfield S, Thomas and William

Winfield was born in 1852 in Champaign Co Ohio and died 1918 in North Dakota. He married Salena E Weaver in 1878 and had 5 children all born in Indiana.

Lena A who died in North Dakota, she married Arthur Johnson;

Harry T who died in Mo He married Emma Davis;

Bertha A married Henry Labelle;

John B married Mable Bachlor, Phobe Tuttle, and Mable R Smith:

Ida P married Conrad Swanson

Know nothing of the other children of Truman and Lucy Pine except William Jackson married Mary Cramer and last known place of residence was Wabash City, Indiana

Would love to find the parents of Truman, if he had any brothers or sisters, or anything on his other children, or any of the other surnames mentioned.
