Ives, David
(There are two versions of this family. Much of the data overlap, but the spouse and parents of David are different, so I am including both items.)
David Ives was a Capt., of Shoreham Twp, Charlotte Co, Vermont; came to NB in May, 1783 and settled at Oromocto, Sunbury Co., NB. According to Dubeau & Bell, he arrived in the spring aboard the Hope, with a wife and 6 children, and at least one (and perhaps two) of which was still under 10 years of age. According to the Sunbury County Poll Book, 1 Sep 1795, David Ives, owned a lot in Burton (freehold); and resided there. He voted for James Glenie, Esq. & Saml.D. Street, Esq. However by 1812 he was not on the tax list for that parish.
