Oldest is John Hall known to be in NC in 1787.  Wife was Betsey Norman. Their first child was Lemuel Franklin Benjamin Hall b. NC 1787. They moved from Lincoln Co to TN abt 1800 then to MS and on to TX by 1837. However, don't think John went to TX.

Tradition has it that William James Hall was a Universalist minister. He married Elmina Easton in 1825 in Jefferson Co., WV. They had one son, James William Hall (1827-1874), who later lived in Newark, Licking Co., OH and south of Rich Hill, Bates Co., MO. Tradition has it that William James Hall was related to Methodist Reformers Charles & John Wesley. Although no connection has been found, it is worthy to note that the Wesleys had a sister, Martha, who was married to Westley Hall.
