I do believe his
father was Thomas HALL who was in Smith Co. TN in the
period 1815 - 1820 and may have died ca. 1822. I
believe he was the Thomas HALL who was in Caroline Co. VA
in the late 1780s, early 1790s and then went to Jackson
and Clarke Co. GA before coming to Smith Co. TN.
Claiborne married Elizabeth HEROD. His supposed
brother Nathan HALL (1792 VA - after 1860 Smith Co. TN)
married her sister Frances HEROD. They were
daughters of William HEROD, Sr.
