Descendants of Joel
Hall
This
tester, while not carrying the Hall surname, matches the
other testers in Family 1. The tester's grandfather,
Cornelius Hampton Crowley, was born the illegitimate son
of Elizabeth Bodiford Crowley, widow of John R. Crowley,
about five miles northwest of Nashville, in Berrien
County, Georgia, 15 August 1865. There were several Halls
in the neighborhood, and one of them seems to have rather
obviously been Hamp Crowley's father.
