The Hall Family Trees

Kit #46076
Earliest
known ancestor is:
James Hall, present at 4 of his grandchildren's baptisms
in the Parish of
Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland between 1724 and 1734. I do not
know where or when
he was born, or his occupation. He probably lived in
Newton-on-Ayr,
Ayrshire, Scotland. I have estimated his birth to be
around 1665, but it's
only a guess. 7G Grandfather.
Matthew Hall, born est 1698 (according to internet
I.G.I.) in the Parish of
Ayr. He was occupied as a Coalhewer or Collier in
Newton-on-Ayr. He married
Helen Hunter in the Parish of Ayr on 17th of June 1721.
He died sometime
after the baptism of his daughter, Margaret in 1749. 6G
Grandfather.
Charles Hall, baptised on 4 December 1736 in the Parish
of Ayr. He was
occupied as a Fisherman and later a Day Labourer in
Newton-on-Ayr. He
married Jean Robertson on 20 December 1760 in the Parish
of Ayr. He probably
died a few years after 1813, the date of his Disposition
and Assignation
(Will). 5G Grandfather.
Thomas Hall, calculated birth 1765. There are no records
of his birth, but I
can assume it was in Newton-on-Ayr, as two of his
siblings were born there.
He was occupied as a Stockingmaker. He married Mary
Tunnock on 17th of
December 1791 in Newton-on-Ayr Parish Church. He was
recorded in the
Scottish census of 1841 as being born in Ayrshire. He
died in 1844 aged 79,
and is commemorated on a headstone in Newton Green
Cemetery, Newton-on-Ayr.
4G Grandfather. (I have more info on him - property
purchase, inheritance of
property etc.
I am researching the Hall families that lived in and
around Ayr from about
1650 to 1850. There are quite a few, and my goal is to
try to tie them
together if possible.
