He joined the Confederate Army at Galveston, Texas, Oct. 2, 1861, and was assigned to Co. H. , 2nd Regt., Texas Infantry. He was wounded at the battle of Shiloh. He survived the Civi l War, and was at Greenville, Texas in business. No children are reported.
